Well the years longest break has gone by, and little work was actually done. I could feel guilty about not working on my portfolio all weekend long, but it would do little to help. Oh well, I guess Ill just be working more longer, later...
On a positive note, I finally got an Internship... So I guess 3 weeks of looking wernt utterly lost, hehe. I'll be working at QuickSilver Software. While its not such a name brand, they've colaborated with numerous more popular developers. In the past theyve done a few StarTrek Games, and Military simulators, its a company I believe Alan Emrich worked there in the past as well, so thats kinda interesting... ^_^
Whats nice, is they actually plan on having me work on the projects (how much, is yet to be planned) but it is always nice to be able to have your name in the credits for a game that has shipped, specially now adays where thats nearly a requirement to find a real job. And none of that coffee-poorer stuff, hehe, which is why I turned down the many game-reviewing companies.. not that Im not interested, I can write, and I can do video editing, but thats not why Im at the art institute!
Sooooo since everyone seems to be posting their schedules Ill do the sames... Its totally top-heavy, but that is because I planned for my internship to occupy much of the other days...
Saturday 12:30-4:30:
3D Scripting - Merf, another class where they will probably teach nothing -_-
Monday 5:30-9:30:
Senior Project I -A totally awesome team I'll be working with, since I know them already..
Tuesday 7:30-11:30:
ADV. Character Rigging AND Internship I - Yah, I know Im taking two classes the same day and time, but internship is more of a check in and stuff so I can do that at a seperate time Lary said.
So yup, only 4 classes... Im oficially a light weight. Assuming I pass every class, I will be taking 4 classes or less for the rest of the time here at AI, otherwise Id only have 1 class on my last quarter, which isnt a good idea..
